UP Viamonte

FUNCTIONALITY AND DESIGN IN BALANCE

In the heart of downtown Buenos Aires, UP Viamonte needed to resolve a complex situation with an intelligent solution: separating its lobby from the restaurant without disrupting operations or completely transforming the structure.
The response was strategic, subtle and effective.

The challenge was clear: divide two business units—the lobby and the restaurant—that coexisted in the same space, without affecting the guest experience or undertaking large-scale construction.
At Interiores Maluk, we designed a solution that prioritized functionality, optimized the use of space, and elevated the overall perception.

The key was finding the balance between separation and connection. We incorporated glass enclosures that allow for division without isolation, maintaining visual continuity and a sense of spaciousness.
The new layout reconfigures the hotel's operational logic: the more compact lobby was designed to concentrate all its functions in fewer square meters, without losing efficiency or aesthetics.

The proposal combines a modern classic style with understated materials, focused lighting, and details that add identity without being overwhelming.
Each decision responded to a specific objective: improving circulation, prioritizing access points, and creating a clearer and more comfortable experience for guests.

The result is a quiet yet powerful redesign. Minimal intervention with maximum impact.
Because sometimes, transformation isn't about doing more, but about doing just the right amount.
